Introduction

Assalamualaikum , hai my name is Muhammad Firdaus Bin Abu Bakar or you can call me Pidot. I am student class 1B Part 1 course Diploma in Plantation Industry Management Intake 2 17/18 at Uitm Campus Jasin Melaka. Allhamdulillah, thank God for giving me the opportunity to write this blog about my subject that I take this sem FPA 100.

Before I go futher , let me explain to you about this course with more detail. This course is designed to equip students with the essential knowledge and understanding of establishing and managing a plantation. Students following this three year programme will learn the latest techniques of Plantation Management, Agricultural Science, Farm Mechanization, Accounting, Plant Science, Agricultural Economics, Soil Science, Industrial Relations, Personnel Management, Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Extension and Agricultural Marketing.

Graduates of this programme will be able to further their studies in the related fields offered by institution of higher learning, either locally or abroad. Those who wish to further their studies in the field of Plantation Management may enrol in the Bachelor of Science (Hons.) Technology and Plantation Management programme of UiTM.

This semester we must take a few subject that schedule that fix to us for example Plant Science(AGR122), Agriculture(AGR142), Bussiness Mathematic(MATH112), Fundamental of Islam(CTU101), English Listening(120), Kesatria(HBU111) and Fieldwork1(FPA100).

This subject is teaching us about how do we make plantation in fieldwork in other words we mus do it ourself. Everything will be teach by lecturer and our senior incharge that we called Planters Executive(PE). They will monitoring us in plant the crop from land clearing until we harvest the crop. For your information my class plant long bean, class A plant corn and class C plant beans, this type that we planting is the cash crop that can make us learn the whole cycle of plantation between  we plant rubber or oil palm because it is take many years before we can harvest compare to the vegetative crop.
